Is there an aftermarket alternator that can be swapped for a series 2a generator? Would it be difficult to retrofit one?

Esha,
It's not that difficult, but I haven't done it. Most people who go this route get a Delco 10si. The most difficult part is fabbing up a bracket...actually, on LRX the other week Rob Davis from VA was selling a bracket setup for about $100...There was also a parts house (Thatched Roof Garage maybe?) that was selling a bracket a while back. Then, also recall that this will be internally regulated, so you'll have to bypass your voltage regulator on the firewall... For a how to, IIRC, Bayou Jim's site had a nice writeup... Bogatyr
