Default used series III engine parts?

I am trying to put together an engine that someone else had the pleasure of taking apart. I have never worked on anything rover before.

Got it together, had an oil pressure problem, damaged some bearings.

While the oil pump was off I noticed that drive gear that runs pump and distributor is faulty.

The brass looking sleeve is "frozen" to gear assembly. Gear won't spin, but the lag screw sheered off and the whole unit was spinning. I need the whole unit, including the lag screw that secures the brass assembly. I checked parts books online and not all parts have a number.

Does anyone have a parts engine they could pull that from? I'm happy to pay for the part and trouble of course.

Can I install the brass tube and install the actual drive gear after, or do I install everything as a complete unit?

thanks for the help. I brought the part with me to work today and can email pictures of what I need.

Thanks for the help.

This? If so, I have one, though probably not the set screw. It has a little wear on the bottom of the brass bushing, but the engine was running fine when I pulled it.

I am very sorry that I didn't get back to you. That is the exact piece but I already found one. I needed the securing screw as well, mine was sheared off!

Installing it wasn't fun but I finally got it in last night. Work and vacation has slowed my progress but I hope to fire it up tonight. If it doesn't run I'll get a hold of you for parts.

thanks again - peter schmid
