Lets say you already know you HAVE to replace the frame and springs... is $1,000 too much? I found one that is missing the front axles and swivels (though the housing is still there), has engine, trans. and everything else.

I'm looking for a project and this one seems to be calling my name out.

JC if I found one like that right now I'd by it and stretch the spare RRC frame I have and use it's drivetrain and frame with the series body. So I guess I would be all over it like a cheap suit

Haha...so thats not a bad deal eh? I would really like to restore this one to Original and maybe even use it as a Daily Driver. That would give me the opportunity to give the Disco either a new engine (Diesel) or a complete overhaul

I spoke to the gentleman that's selling it today and I should have the pics I requested by tomorrow. I guess the goats I've been sacrificing for Lord Lucas have paid off since I received the VERY good news that it's a LHD and that the bulkhead is in pretty good condition! I had him knocking on the thing from top to bottom over the phone...funny stuff.

If your needle is bouncing, it may mean the cable is about to break. Mine bounced like that and I read somewhere that they do that when they're close to breaking. And sure enough, the cable broke after a few months.

yeah I had read about the problem a little bit. I've just kind of been putting it off until I really had to do something about it.
