Jenni, I see that you have found ALRE as well. Have you met the local guys yet? Bill and the crew out there in Edmonton would be more than happy to help.

Jenni, check out the ALRE website. Most of the members are on the landroveraddict forum. Lots of the guys are in Edmonton and would be more than willing and able to give you a hand. Bill is about as Land Rover crazy as they come and the rest of us are not far behind! They are a great bunch of fellas so don't be shy in saying hello.
I too have a 1957 Series One, but I'm in Medicine Hat, otherwise I would offer to come over and compare notes. Perhaps next time I'm up that way, I usually trek up a few times a year to take part in whatever Land Rover shenannigans they are up to.

Hope this helps you out.
Matt.

Gee, Edmonton? Would that be anywhere near St Albert? Have you looked up one of North Americas few Land Rover specialty supply business's that happens to be in your area? Wise Owl Parts, Wise Owl Innovations Incorporated - Land Rover Parts they're just down the road from you. 15" wheels were standard in North America during the sixties and 16's were hard to find except on the 109's. Everyone with an 88 was trying to get 16's and couldn't find them. 15's have a better supply of sizes and many more off-road styles than 16's.

Even the 88's came with 16" wheels up until at least '65.

15's look stupid on a Land Rover if you ask me.

What's wrong with starting out in first? Don't you know how to double clutch?
