Right. Mine is no longer working, and won't eject the cartridge. I do have a replacement OEM, however, from another truck.
Mission accomplished. We got the old CD changer out and installed the replacement.
No riveted parts and no drilling necessary. It was very easy and took about 1/2 hour. Will post photos tomorrow. Here's what we did:
1) Remove 3 bracket screws. There are two visible on the bracket plate in front of the CD changer and one in the back.
2) Remove carpeted shelf over the stereo equipment which is attached by 6 nuts.
3) Detach the two plugs at the back of the CD changer.
4) Unscrew the CD changer from the bracket, 2 screws on each side.
5) Voilá! Just reverse in order to install the replacement.
Now, if I can just figure out which spring will release the jammed CD cartridge in the old changer so I can get my CDs out! All advice is welcome.
By the way, if anyone needs replacement 6-CD cartridges for these OEM changers, they are Pioneer PRW1141 for Home and Car.
