Default 1994 LWB manual transmission conversion

Hi all:

Just wondering if someone can give me a good idea of what is involved in such a swap on a 1994 LWB. I have found some cheap Discovery drivetrains and am curious (R380 transmission and LT230 case). I know what is involved with the LT230 swap, but if I jsut get the pedals and shifters from a discovery shouldn't the R380 be an easy swap? Do I also need to swap ECUs or will the engine not care about the transmission difference?

Thanks in advance.

I'm sure it can be done...but I don't think it'll be what I'd call easy, since no North American Classic came with a stick (at least that I know of). I'd start prowling the UK boards...I'm sure it's been done there.

Try Paul Grant - he had a grey market manual recently that you might be able to use the linkage if he still has them....
