You have TWO problems.
Over heating and electrical. Over heating. Make sure your radiator is doing it's job. The Classic is famous for clogging or at least mine was. I had it rodded three times in 5 years before I just bought a new one. That's the first step in finding your cooling problem. Warning: DO NOT DRIVE IT. if you are overheating you could warp your head and accelerate a head gasket problem. The electrical problem is going to be harder to fix. I suggest you have your alternator checked first. You have replaced your battery with a NEW one so that isn't likely to be the problem. |

If you drove your truck with the gauge in the red, you could very well have killed your engine already. They do not like to overheat. Radiator and Viscous Fan Clutch could be problem.
Electrical stuff is a pita - loose ground wire, etc. Take it / tow it to a professional and hope the engine isn't toasted. |
