Thumbs up

Eric D, I really like your choice in rims to upgrade your 1990 RR County! If I wasn't satisfied with the OEM rims on my 1995 RR County I'd be searching for a pair of 2003-2007 RR HSE rims.

Here's my '95...

A question to the owner of the Classic with the 19"s on it. The lug pattern on that looks that of like a DII or P38 RR. How did you fit those rims on the RRC? I know the lug pattern is much bigger than that. Honestly, those wheels look pretty decent on there.

I agree though, anything bigger than 18"s is not my gig. I prefer 16"s with bigger tires.

I used wheel adapters made in the UK. To be honest they werent machined correctly, but I corrected it using a carbide burr as best as I could.

Here is a picture of a similar adapters.
http://www.skulte.com/product_info.p...c8facc6a366be0

The RRC has a bolt pattern of 5x160mm with 16mm studs, the wheels are 5x120mm and require 14mm studs.

The adapters are hub centric to the new Rover wheels, and also hub centric to the Classics hub. In my case, the UK adapters were machined slightly off center, thus I needed the burr to correct that problem.

Running these wheels has caused rapid wear of my front suspension components. Ball joints worn, swivel pins, drop arm ball joint.

I do have red poly bushings front and rear, Bearmach blue springs and Bilstein shocks. Brand new Bilstein steering damper, less than 500 miles.

Just haven't driven it much in the last 2 months, got another Jetta for fuel economy.

Now it seems that I may never get to enjoy these vehicles, unless I can find a fix for my Sciatic nerve pain. Pain shooting down both legs, numb left foot.

Argh!!!!
