Default 3'' big blue spring lift

hi, ive got a 90 rover looking to do the DAP-INC 3" big blue spring lift. the kit says it comes with the springs, extended shocks, new poly bushings and bushing hardware. i was wondering if there is anything else im going to need or is this kit pretty all inclusive? ive done plenty of lifts on trucks and they never have "all inclusive kits" haha. so just wondering if anyone had some insight, thanks -Ben

I'm not going to get into bashing the big blues or the pro comp shocks.

I would however take a look at the offerings by rovertym and old man emu. It would seem that most people have a lot better luck with these products.

The kit from dap does seem to have all the bits you'll need though. Although if it's a true 3" lift you might want to look into extended brake lines and keep an eye on drive line angles.

Just my 2 cents...

X2 on the brake lines and drive line angles.
Also, if it is true 3" steering will start to be, how shall I put this, unstable. You can drive it, plenty of people have, but it will prob start to track funny on road at speed.

I have a 3" lift on one of my Rovers. It has cranked control arms and trailing arms from Rovertym and a Double Cardon front prop shaft. You can get away with only the castor corrected swivel balls if you like that better than the control arms. It may actually make things more stable with a 3" lift. If you go above 3", you will want the corrected swivel balls and cranked control arms. The Big Blues and ProComps have a dodgy reputation, but it all depends on what you are doing. I have had good luck with Rovertym, OME, and Bilstein. Have fun.

I just got the blue springs from DAP, 3". It does not come with shocks. Mine is a 95 with 113k. I just got it the other day and I'm in the process of the conversion right now. You have to use your stock shocks. Since my car had a failed suspension, it sat for 8 months on the bump stops. So now the factory shocks do not rebound so I had to order new shocks also mid way of doing the conversion. I also snapped the thread on the bracket that holds the top of the rear shock to the frame of the truck. Once I'm done this week, I'll give you my driving or rolling over impressions ;-)
