guy i know has a 1994 classic 3.9, and he said that his truck will cutout-die when he goes up or down a slight grade, but will start right up. i had a mg midget years ago that would do the same thing when going around a curve, and it took me a good while to find the problem, it was a piece of hose from a gas pump that enedup in the fuel tank and would get sucked to the strainer.
he just had the fuel tank replaced (recall). |

It could be the inertia switch for the fuel pump might be off set, or it is defective if it is sensitive to something that small of a change in angle.
Maybe the switch may need to be reset, just push the top of the switch under the hood on passenger side.
