We are in need of a new fuel tank, and found a good deal on a 95 LWB tank/pump/sending unit, however we have a 94 LWB. Will the 95 tank/pump/sending unit work on a 94 LWB? Thanks for any help...

First, if I am not mistaken (and that has been know to happen) I believe there was a recall on the gas tank in your '95. You might want to call the dealer to see if there is a record of your truck ever having been fixed.
If, either I am wrong about the recall or the truck has already had the work done, I can't see any reason why the swap should pose any problems. Good luck, Paul |

Thanks for the response, Paul...
You are not mistaken about the recall. I actually just found out about it just after I posted this, and am about to call land rover to make sure that we qualify. If not, I will pick up this tank and get it in there. But a free one is even better than a $125 one... |

Another question Paul... I see on your ebay store that you have a EFI ECU (AMR1423). My mechanic says that I need a new ECU since the rover wont start (he has checked all the usual suspects, and all the other systems are in good working order). So my question is, our ECU is AMR2943, would the ECU you have work even though the numbers are different? Thanks again for your help.

Chris,
Basically, any 14CUX computer should work with any truck. Nevertheless, it is advisable, when running a 4.2L, to use an ECU that is for a 4.2L. I have a couple of 4.2L ECU's and several 3.9L ECU's. I'll send you a PM. Cheers, Paul |
