Default 95 RR Classic LWB Radio Removal

How do you remove radio head unit from 95 Classic LWB? I see one hole on each side of the radio and wondering if I need special tool to remove the radio?

If the radio is like the factory one I just removed from mine 1990, then pop open the two small opennings with a small flat screwdriver (like the kind you'd use on eye-glasses). This action should provide you with access to the retaining clips that spring out to keep the radio in place.

However, if the radio is similar to the monsoon head unit found in VWs, then you'll need a special tool or a hacksaw to cut the radio out

Next question...
On early to mid '90 RR do the speakers share a common earth? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? (not a thread-jack, this may be useful information for both parties)
