I took that pump apart as well and cleaned it up. It worked for a little bit, but just failed again no matter how many times I tried. I'm pretty confident there's no way to redeem one of those pumps.
It is quite ingenious how those things work though. |

Yeah, it seems fool-proof, the pump part, I don't know about the rest of the braking system. I'm totally confused. Like I said, I just got this thing, never messed w/ them before, let alone sat in the seat of one. I have done a LOT of reading, and a lot of staring. I was just trying to save a couple bucks. We'll see what happens. Great forum though, lots of info.

I'm at school right now, but at home I have the workshop manual. I could send you the bleeding procedure for the brakes this weekend. That way you can absolutely make sure that it's the pump.
