My AC is cycling on and off far too much. It blows cold for a minute, then cool for a mintue and so on and so on. I have to run it on 3 or 4 to cool the car, and it's not even that warm yet.
IS this a symptom of low refrigerant, or could it be a compressor issue. When it switchs from cold to cool and cool to cold, I can hear a click in the dash. My guess is this is the compressor clutch kicking in. Can the cluctch wear or can the t-stat sensor in the evap go bad and cause this? I've searched for similar posts, but no answers available. Any ideas would be appreciated.
