Default AC Conversion

Anyone done the air conditioning conversion to R134?

Buy the kit (O-ring, oil, etc.) from Atlantic British for $120 or is there a cheaper route to go? Is the conversion easy to do or best left to a shop?

Thanks,

ChamplainRover

most any auto parts store will have the o-rings, when you open your system, just pull the old ones off and take them with you, and get the proper type in the sizes you have, just remeber where they go(shouldn't be hard)...the conversion isn't hard, provided you know how to do a/c and have the guages, tools, scales...

Thanks, ATV.

What about dryer? Can I get one from an autoparts store? In other words, what other than O-rings do I need and can I get them for cheaper than Atlantic British, where the whole conversion kit is about $120?

My goal would be to do the mechanical part of the conversion myself, then have a shop do the flush, oil, gas parts.

Thanks,

ChamplainRover
