Yea, it would be a short wheel base...
The only real problem I have had with mine is that when the car is cold... it doesn't like to start well. Mine has around the same miles as the one you're looking at.... don't let it scare you though... I love blue balls:-)

Look for rust. Pull up the front carpets and check underneath for holes. Look at the rear wheelwells both where the seat belts attach and in the back where they meet the floor. Check under the spare tire as well. How does the rear tailgate (upper and lower) look? Under the bonnet how do the inner wheel wells look. Get under the truck and check the sills. If they're bad it can affect the structural integrity of the truck and will be an expensive fix.
The CDL on the LT230 maybe frozen so check to see if it engages easily. Any lights on the dash after startup? Go to rangerovers.net for a complete checklist. |

As others have said, the first LWB was 1993.
Paul forgot to mention to check the HEATER blower (Not the same as the AC blower) If it only works on high, that's not such a bad thing, you just need to replace the intermediate speeds resistor, but if it doesn't even work on high, chances are that the blower motor is shot, and you'd rather eat a piano than change that motor. |

Land Rover Owner International did a very good article in October 2005 on buying a used RRC. Alas, they don't seem to have an on-line archive of their articles.
I have a copy in *.pdf format which I could email you, but it's nearly 20MB so might cork up your email for a while. Let me know if you'd like it.
