so i noticed my air filter is extremely dirty...i went to pepboys autozone and oreillys and non of them carry an air filter for my 94 range rover, i started lookin online and noticed the k&n filters but i have heard of them ruining parts on land rovers especially the MAF...has anyone put a k&n filter on their rover? if i get one should i get the kind that replaces the old one or should i get the filter that is open to the engine?

Sounds like you don't watch your filters too frequently, I wouldn't do a K&N, it will cost you a Maf sensor and that ain't worth it. You can find air filters at the auto parts store, if they don't have on, have them order 2 and keep one as a back up.
