Hi all,
The info: 1994 RRC LWB OEM radio I've read about the radio code here (and elsewhere) and I've called the dealer and got the code for my vin, however it does not seem to work. All I get is a beep at the end of the code. I suspect that my radio has been replaced sometime in the past, so it looks like I will need to call the dealer back with the radio's serial number?? Is this correct? I pulled the radio and the only number that looks like a serial number is on a sticker on the bottom with a corresponding bar code. Is this the serial number? It is 0338701...is this the correct number of digits? Any other suggestions, comments, ideas....etc? ![]() Thanks |

Once you put in the incorrect code 3 times, the radio locks for one hour. Yes, that means you have to leave the key in the ignition and the radio on for one hour until you can put in the code again.

Thanks for the info guys. I found the correct code and entered it in one try...no waiting.
Somewhere in my 94's past the radio was changed out for a "new" one...and someone had the foresight to write it on a little piece of paper and stick it in the owners manual. ![]() I have now written it in the owners manual with the words "radio code" next to it. |

not that rover radios are a hot item on the black market, but if you didnt want to put your security code where anyone would look for it, you could write it in crayon on your driver door - at the bottom of the door below the door panel, as it curves around the bottom of the door. Next to the puddle lamp would be a good place.
