Default Anyone converted the RRC sunroof from power to manual?

Hey gang. The sunroof in my RRC has been non-functioning for quite some time. A few years back, the sunroof channels broke, I replaced them, still didn't work so I replaced the motor w/ a used one. Still no go, however, the emergency crank works fine. I'm sure that there are other european cars of similar vintage that had a manual sunroof crank. Do you think it would be terribly difficult to convert it? It might be a fun project and I'm sure cheaper than $300 for a new sunroof motor.
Thanks in advance!
