Saw this on Dweeb figured I would post it over here.

Hope this doesn't mean a tougher time getting parts for RRC owners.

Well, considering that most parts are still available for Series III trucks which wrapped up production in the mid '80's, I don't think this will have a great impact on most owners for some time. With a little ingenuity and often a bit of help from the likes of Rovers North, et. al. I can't imagine it'll be much more difficult to find the parts you need.

one thing I've wondered about is how unique are the classic parts... meaning, i know its not like I'm going to find a wing panel for my classic that just happened to be part of a gremlin... but things like electronics, switches, etc are sourced from all over the automotive world. like the fact that the power seat switches are common with Mercedes controls from same era. i also saw somewhere that the AC blower and many of the AC parts are common to other cars.

has anyone compiled something that lists alternate sources for parts?

Hope not, someday plan on owning another one.

What can I say I'm a Rover addict!
