Default Blower Motor

Whoever designed the heater core should be kicked square in the nuts. What a huge PITA that was.

So now that i've got the blower motor out - its fried. Anyone out there got a used one you want to sell?

I want to kick them in the nuts too. So I'm next in line.

Paul G and I have decided, the first thing out to the floor when they build a range Rover is the heater box. They then proceed to build the entire car around it.

Are you some sort of masochist, or glutten for punishment? Why go to all this trouble to put in a used motor. Get the Bosch replacement from RN. They aren't that expensive. But if you don't want to do that, you can have a used one I have for free. You just have to take it out of the Range Rover, and while you're at it, may as well put a new one in for me. When was the last time you had an offer that good?

LOL. Thanks a lot!! I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. So, a bosch replacement? Do they make one for an 87? cause its different than a 90 - 95. RN wanted $395.00 for one.

I'm hoping I can find someone with small enough hands to fix my resistor pack.
I might actually break down and cry if I have to go back in there for the fans failing.

Okie, the resistor is pretty easy to get at, thru the right vent on the decker panel. Only if that were my problem, but alas, it's the seized bushing on the motor.

I hope my heater never craps out, but if (when) it ever happens I might just move down south or install a wood stove! Either seems soooo much easier.
Since the rebuild the heater is much better. It actually gets hot inside.

Rovers North has a blower motor for early NAS Range Rovers in their scratch and dent site:

A $100's is a great price considering these motors are supposed to be NLA.
