Default Body Panels

I have three of the four corners off for rust repair, and was wondering if there is anything special that should be done on re-install. Shop manual says to use "a waterproof sealant to the fender to wheel arch/valance mating faces." Did not notice anything on the front fender, but the rear quarters had something around the bolt holes along the upper mating area.

Thanks

what i believe they are talking about is when you put the rear quarter panels on, there is an edge where they mate up to the wheel arch that is within the 2nd row doorway. silicone works well.

Thanks! Now if it would only stop raining up here so she will dry out and then I can finish with the rust treatment.

For the front fenders, I used strips of rubber cut out of bike tire tubes. The reason for this is that the fenders are aluminum and the chassis/underbody is steel. If you do not seal the connections, you will get electrolysis and thus have the rust that we all have!

Granted, the rear corners are steel.
