I am assuming you want to get at the front bearing due to slop. I can only comment on this bearing as Ive never tried to get at the rear one. I changed a VC while the TC was in the truck so you can take off the front housing with no problem. I did find that my bearing was okay but the housing was a bit pounded out. I changed the bearing anyway and put a used VC in and it has never given me any problems since, but it really didnt take away the slop as I hoped. I would have probably needed to replace the housing as well to fix that. Since this was on my trail truck I didnt sweat it. Gordo

Hmm.. I have a vibration in the drive train at 30-40 mph and 50-65 mph, but only when accelerating. I feel slop in the front TC bearing, can't feel any play in the UJs. Wondering if replacing that bearing is a useful attempt to get rid of the vibration, or should I concentrate on the suspension busings, swivel preload or steering damper, or could it be the UJs after all? Truck's done 120k miles, UJ's probably never have been replaced.

Thanks.

Never done this job, but contemplated it and figured out what I needed:

1 x RTC6025 front output shaft bearing
1x FRC7043 oil seal
1x RTC6565 oil seal
1x NY120041L Big nyloc nut holding flange to shaft
1x RTC6020 circlip ring output shaft

These are the land rover part nrs. No idea about OEM suppliers part nrs.
