Help!
I have a broken wire to my coil, and can't find where it connects to in my engine bay. I'ts the top wire on the right of coil that goes to amplifier. Can some one take a picture and post it on how that connects. Thanx |

What color is the wire, I have the Bentley manual.
I suggest you purchase one, its worth the read and the savings from some monkey wrenching on your car, more than pays for it. I have personally upgraded my amplifier wires using 14 gauge wire, stock is a wimpy 18 gauge. It was done for piece of mind, I know how thin the stock wiring was and wanted to make sure I never loose signal. I still have my amp mounted on the distributor and I'm near 200k on the original engine. I should point out that I replaced my Bosch Blue coil with an Accel Super Coil. Slight mod the the coils back bone is required to mount in the original location. This back bone is actually the support mount for the coil and it runs the full length of the coil. Since the mounts holes are forward towards the tower, and modification done at the rear has no effect on performance. The mod requires about 1" removed from the back bone at the rear of coil, this is done strictly for wire clearance. There are factory wires running along the inner fender, I didn't want to drill holes in the Rover to mount the coil. No mods required if you use a standard round coil. I couldn't beat the price I paid for this coil and it was new. I think I paid about $10 shipped, from ebay a few years back. Its a 45K volt coil, firing through STI mag core wires and Bosch single electrode plugs. ![]() |

The + terminal (or labeled 15) at the coil is ignition key on. So +12v with the key, also has a condensor to chassis ground. The second wire is white in color and goes to the ignition amp.
The - terminal (or labeled 1) at the coil goes to the ignition amp, its wire color is black. This is the trigger wire from the amp for the coil. |
