I am installing an a/c and heater in my '90 rrc with parts from another '90...do these have two resistors or one for the fan motors? my truck had one under the cowl(it is shot), and the new heater box has one in with the motor...the one in with the motor has a black plug with 5~6 wires and the matching black plug from the a/c harness only has two wires... but there is a red plug with multiple wires that will plug into the black heater box plug... anybody know what I am talking about

John, I just took apart the heater box on a '93 tonight. There is a resistor for the heater blower motor inside the box and a resistor for the A/C blower motors under the cowl. Since the heater blower motor is the same for your '90 as it is on the '93 I would have to say that you should expect the same, two separate resistor packs.
Also, you are correct, the connector on the blower end has five or six wires but the connector on the harness end has just two wires (black and orange IIRC). The other colors are for the resistor. Don't worry, just connect the two. It is OK! |

thnx Paul, now to get that little bugger out of the cowl
I may just pull the cowl, I need to beat a few dents out of it anyway as it has been used as a step in the past I may just re-inforce it a bit and add a diamond tread plate to it to make it useable as a step to access my rack... |
