Default carb to snorkel????

i just converted my 89 rrc to an edelbrock carb and need a filter housing that will go from the carb to the mantec snorkel. any ideas? i am doing away with the stock filter housing and putting another battery up there. i want to be able to run a more common air filter that i can get anywhere.

Hey Im going through the same thing with my series hybrid. I bought a carb "hat" from Pepboys for like 70 bucks. It is probably for ram air or supercharging but it is a big housing made of aluminum that fits over the carb. The hole is about 4 inches around so you gotta buy a reducer too, which is about 15 bucks. This is probably the best option out there. There are more expensive ones out there but many are made for racing hollies and wont fit over a standard 4bbl. KN makes one as well but it is much more expensive. MIne isnt hooked up yet but I cant forsee any issues. I plan on using the original rover air cleaner as well. Gordo

Heres a link to it I believe no photo though. Searched by part number: 9849, Man: Poweradder, 4" single plenum.
