Default center console

I have a 1993 range rover LWB and I am looking to replace my center console assembly. Does anyone know where I can get a good one that has the cigarette lighter in the back. I have tried a rover company in britian and the one they have is not the dual coin tray one and theres is smaller. I am in atlanta GA. Can anyone tell me where to finds one and also is it a pain in the ass to take and put it back together? Any response will be great.

Have you seen this one? Looks to be pretty close to the original.

Not intended to hijack the thread, but a related problem....the power window switch panel has come adrift on my '89. Has anyone had this problem or found a solution for it?

Thanks.

this happens when the piece of the center console plastic which frames the switch panel breaks. then the little plastic tabs on the back of the switch panel have nothing solid to anchor to. take the center console out and JB weld all that plastic back. if you need to you can cut a piece of plastic from somethign around the house and JB weld it into place to make a new backing. i used strips of metal with JB weld and has worked out pretty good.

Default Advise on fixing your headliner

I have a '92 County and decided to try repairing my headliner before I bought a new one. The headliner is surprisingly easy to remove and it only took a few hours to peal off the fabric, scrub off the deteriorating foam that backed the fabric and then using some spray adhesive, attach felt as the new covering. You have to carefully trim the sunroof cover to avoid having the cover not slide easily.

The end result looks great, quiets down the car a bit and will never sag since there is no lame fome to deteriorate under the covering.

There are a number of guides available on the net to give you step by step pictures and instructions, but it was done in an afternoon and was easy.
