center console swap

hey has anyone ever installed a center console from D2 in a Range Rover Classic?
Same basic layout, seems it might work out with a few modifications.

I guess anything can be done with enough time, money and skill. I know there was a kid over on Dweb who said he was going to try to install a console from a DI. He never posted any pictures and I never again read about the attempt so who knows what became of it.

One thing I would recommend is to find a console from a DI with manual seats or a '95 RRC. At least you won't have to deal with the gaping holes for the power seat switches. The holes are even larger on the DII and I don't think you could get them in the US w/o power seats.
