I just got my new fuel filter in the mail today with lots of other goodies, someone needs to guide us (before I even take a look at the manual)

...daway, maybe because there are two of us you will get a quicker response(...?)

Hehe, well, yes a little gas will come out of the hoses where you remove the filter. Have a rag handy to catch the gas, and not catch it in your face. Believe me, gas burns like a bitch in the eyes.

This reminds me, I have to replace mine pretty soon too. LOL

I called the local auto parts store yesterday and they had a FRAM fuel filter for $10.
I'm not convinced on buying FRAM though.

Default RRC Fuel filter......

Hi Guys,
The easiest way I have found is,
-Remove the rear wheel
-Clamp a vise-clamp on the rubber hose each side of the filter
-Undo the nuts each side of the filter (have a bunch of rags to catch the small amount of fuel that leaks out).
-Undo the clamp bracket that holds the body of the filter.
-Install the new filter
-Reconnect the hoses.
-Run the engine for a few minutes.
-Check for leaks.
-Re-install the wheel.
I always use a $8 Fram fuel filter & have never had any problems....

I just get the FRAM stuff, cause it's cheap, and I have never had a problem with it, never, used their filters for a long time now, and not a problem.

In any application, replacing the filters for oil, air, and fuel, should help with the MPG situation a little, not dramatically, but helps. I think everyone knows that.

The manual says to depressurize the system. I think the first time I didn't do this. The second I did. But it was the same result.

The biggest tip I have is....
Wash the wheel well BEFORE removing. The first time you bang the wrench and get that dust in your eyes you'll wish you heeded my warning.
