Default Check Engine Light, with no code

My 1993 LWB has been a bit of an enigma lately. Started off with a weak battery from her sitting entirely too much.
The few times I got her running I experienced a few weird ignition problems. While driving down the road the engine would just totally cut off. Then right back on. And she was hard to start. Lots of cranking no starting.

So this weekend I replaced the battery, coil, distributor cap and rotor. Once or twice before I did this I got a CHECK ENGINE light, but no code.

I got the CHECK ENGINE light again on the way into work this morning after she'd been running at highway speeds for 20 minutes.

Coincidentally when I start her I get a audio alarm from the dash, Beep Boop, beep boop. I cannot find anything on that audio signal.

Any help is of course appreciated.

I had a 1988 that died on when i would drive it for more than 30 minutes. But it would start right away. I changed the alternator, the started, new cap and rotors, plugs and wires. Still did the same thing. No advice becasue i just dealt with it. haha

I've had mine since 2000. Never done it before.

I've had two and they both do it. My friends 93 does it too. maybe its the warning that it is going into it's self-destruct cycle. That's probably what my truck had been trying to tell me this whole time.

Hey Okie!

I've heard often the CEL typically points to the O2s. And after reading that thread on DWEB you may also want to check your fuel pump relay to make sure it is the proper one.

Regarding the chime, in earlier RRC that high low high low chime was for the driver's seatbelt unhooked.

After reading that DWEB post I'm guessing my display is buggered. My fuel pump relay is still the same one, I've never replaced it.

I find it odd the damn chime is working now. Where has it been all this time?
