Default Check Engine Light & ODB1

I went through some deep water the other night (heavy rains) here. My idle went to crap for a couple of days. It was rough and all over the place. After a couple of days of this my "check engine light" came on and the idle improved. I know that I nned to run and ODB1 on this, but where am I plugging into to get the error codes?

Thanks

If you have a '94, a display for EFI error codes is built in under the passenger seat. Remove the aluminum door sill and then the lower seat trim closest to the door, and you will be able to see it.

Supposedly it displays when the key is turned to "II", but the car hasn't been started. I haven't seen one "in action", so I can't confirm that, but I'm sure there are others here who know more about it than me!

It will hold any code you have til you clear it.
I'll bet it was just a misfire due to the water and rough running.

Tell us what's on the display I'm dying to know!!!!
I'll bet it's a 40 or 50.

Funny how you mention rough idle after a decent rain, cause I took my RRC which is a 94, took it wheelin' through some really nasty, runny mud and it covered the whole engine. Of course I cleaned it off, but the idle would sit at an odd 1000 RPM, and not go down, even in gear. This symptom was noticed after replacing the spark plugs that had fried on me after wheelin'. It is ironic, how a few threads ago, I wanted to get the idle to go up a bit and sit at 750 or 800 RPM, now she has done that and gone beyond a little.

But now, the idle is back to where I want it which is at 800 RPM. Maybe some dirt got stuck on the throttle linkage or something, not sure, I didn't do much to readjust mine, it just did it on its own.

Okie Rover was right. It was a code 40. Cleared it (disconnected the battery) and it is fine. Thanks
