Default Chip?

Recently picked up an ECU from a 93 RR 4.2. Out of curiosity I opened it up to have a look. I noticed the black cover over the chip had a red E marked on it, so I removed the cover to see what might have been done. Does this look like a factory or aftermarket chip??? The sticker looks like it says "M RI" and "3100".

How can you tell?

The reason I asked about the chip is I came across an image on Rover 14CUX Hot Wire Mass Flow EFI: Service and Troubleshooting and it show type on the chip. But since posting I came across another image on RPI's site which looks similar to mine. I guess I just want to make sure someone prior did not put one of those crappy ass eBay chips in.
