I know this is probably straight forward, but I'm gonna ask the question anyway. I have a 95 RRC with a burned out headlight (low beam only). Gonna change it out. Never done it on a RR. Are there any secret screws or anything I should know about or tricks of the trade. I don't want to change the headlight and have the windows roll down.
Thanks |

I have a '90 and there is nothing tricky about changing the headlights on it. I would, however, recommend that you do yourself a favor and buy one of the halogen headlight upgrades that are out there. The difference between the stock lights and a new set of halogens is like, well, night and day.

I don't know if I mentioned this before but while we are on the subject of RRC headlights I'll mention it again.
We all know RRC's have 7" round headlights. Now, there are a few H4 bulb conversion kits out there. I came across something different. It's a H4 kit that has built in parking light, fog light and main hi/lo beams. The for can be ordered clear or amber. It's actually less expensive than most other kits. I sourced it from a VW parts catalog. See what you guys think. http://www.mamotorworks.com/-/acvw.html?frame=1.3305 ![]()

Do you have these? I was wondering if the height of our rigs would make the fog lights too far off the ground to work effectively? I'm set with my Lightforce for high beam driving but occasionally I could use a yellow fog. Anyone have any thoughts. I remember from my VW / Porsche days, the fogs should be as low as possible to have the proper effect.

I don't have these but I am looking to buy them soon. That's a good point you bring up about the height Todd. Although I am now using Hella's 500 fog lights on the bumper, which are the level as the head lights. They are still very effective at that height.

no big deal. I read somewhere that you should upgrade your wiring harness. After seeing the lights last night in rain, I'm thinking that might not be a bad idea. |
