Default Code 14

I found that it it the coolant "thermistor"? Is that a thermostat? I don't have good heat, and the check engine light is on.

I'm hoping that my problem is as cheap of a fix as yours. Did you have to replace the sensor for the fans? *I mean, was that part of the problem, or was that a seperate problem? Great site, it has been bookmarked!

I think I did. It didn't change my fan situation. Because they weren't broke. They spin cause my fan on the water pump runs all the time. When the AC fans come on to help with cooling you can really hear them.
It turned out to be a different problem.

So check the fuel rail sensor and replace it if necessary.

Is your thermostat working correctly?
Have you lost some coolant fluid?

Cool, I tried cleaning the contacts and plug back in, light came back on. Is this the only part associated w/ the code 14?

You can check the sensor with your Ohm meter. There's a chart in the fuel injection section of the shop manual. How's the temperature? Is it running cold? You might have a thermostat stuck open which could also explain your lack of heat. Or you may have air trapped in the system. Do you hear gurgling sound from the heater?

No gurgling sound. I was planning on flushing the cooling system and replacing the thermostat. The code 14 wouldnt' be related to the thermostat stuck open, would it?
