I have read a few past posts on this topic...and of course there are varying opinions. I would like to do a conversion soon and have some questions:
There are several coil spring kits out there; what do you recommend for my Rover? I would like to keep the rotoflex so I heard that a 2" lift is the max I can do and keep this coupling?? True?? I see that DAP has kits, Rovers North, Atlantic British, Motorcars Ltd, etc. I have the stock tire size on my Rover now but would get larger tires in the future (these tires are 3 years old) Do instructions come with these kits on disabling the EAS ECU (just unplug it so no lights on the dash??)?? My ROver is pretty much on paved roads 90% of the time, trail 10%, 20 max. |

I would go with the kit from RoversNorth, if RTE does not offer it's own. If you can get one from RTE, they're the only people for Rover suspension, IMHO.

I have Big Blue springs from DAP, soft in the front and medium in the rear, with Bilstein HD shocks. Before I ad OME springs and Bilstein shocks. The OME springs sagged on one side after a few years, and I always thought the ride was to harsh on-road. The Big Blues and Bilstein is what a luxury ride is all about!
