Is there a list of engine codes available? If not, is there any interest in starting a compilation? I have a few in the workshop manual that came with the truck and could start the list.

This oughta help ya out, just doing a search on Google, you can find this same list, and maybe we outhta make this a sticky thread.
![]() But just to clarify, these codes are given assumptions of what the computer has at fault according to it. So these codes will be like a starting ground for a MIL light coming on. * The fault code table. 12 Start of diagnosis. 14 Engine coolant temperature sensor - low voltage 15 Engine coolant temperature sensor - high voltage 16 Fuel temperature sensor - voltage low 17 Fuel temperature sensor - voltage high 19 Engine speed (RPM) sensor - incorrect signal 21 Accelerator pedal position sensor - voltage high 23 Accelerator pedal position sensor - incorrect idle speed 24 Vehicle speed sensor (VSS) - no signal 31 Engine speed (RPM) sensor - no signal 34 Injection timing control - out of range 37 Brake pedal position (BPP) switch - incorrect signal 39 Immobilizer - activated 41 Manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor , TC boost pressure - voltage low 42 Manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor , TC boost pressure - voltage high 43 Manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor , TC boost pressure - invalid signal 44 Manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor , TC boost pressure - incorrect signal 48 Battery supply voltage - low 49 Glow plug control - circuit malfunction 54 Fuel shutoff solenoid - circuit malfunction 55 Engine control module (ECM) - defective 61 Fuel quantity adjuster position sensor - incorrect signal 64 Fuel quantity adjustment control - malfunction 65 Engine control module (ECM) - overheating 73 Intake air temperature (IAT) sensor - voltage low 74 Intake air temperature (IAT) sensor - voltage high 81 Injector needle lift sensor - circuit malfunction 82 Injector needle lift sensor - incorrect signal 83 Immobilizer control module - programming 84 Immobilizer control module - no signal 85 Immobilizer control module - incorrect signal 87 Mass air flow (MAF) sensor - voltage high 88 Mass air flow (MAF) sensor - voltage low 89 Mass air flow (MAF) sensor - signal 91 Cruise control - signal low 92 Cruise control - signal high 95 Engine control module (ECM) - malfunction 96 Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) solenoid - voltage low 97 Fuel injection pump - adaptation failure
