Does the truck still go into drive and drive? Is the Range Shifter in Neutral at all?

If not...

...There also is a little sensor on the 4x4 Range Shifter could've been disconnected, or has a bad connection and the computer sets off the alarm (that constant Beep you hear), thinking the shifter is Neutral on the range shifter.

^^^^x2
When it gets cold my Hi/Lo shifter switch goes off if you bump it and it's a high pitched constant beep.

we are definitely NOT cool. =) Its back. Its been back for four days straight now and its not going away. The code under the passenger seat says 45. Dont know if thats related or not. Anyone know what that one is? This beep is driving me nuts. Hour long drive to go on a fishing trip and diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing the whole way.

Code 45 - Lambda sensor B - right bank
If one of these fault codes (#44 or #45) is displayed check the wiring to that particular lambda sensor. In addition this fault will be displayed if the vehicle has a condition which causes it to run very lean or very rich on one side (example - a vacuum leak or a bad injector). This code often appears in conjunction with the misfire codes in cases of bad ignition misfire (cross-firing plug wires)
If both codes are displayed, the voltage supply to the heater coils of the sensors must be checked. Check for 12V appearing on the O2 signal lead, and check the heater circuit for shorts.

That would explain my emissions problem. I replaced both O2 sensors and it still wouldnt pass. Got under my rig and noticed right at the exhaust manifold there are supposed to be three bolts connecting but two are missing holy shit which may be causing a vacuum leak. Now do they mean right bank as in passenger side right? Because its missing bolts on the drivers side. =/ *sigh*

45 is an oxygen sensor. Passenger side.
The beep is definately the sensor on the transfer case shifter. You need to make sure the switch is repositioned to stop the noise. The beep comes when the transfer case is in neutral. So effectively the shifter is moved to the center to activate the switch.

45 is the passenger side O2 sensor. If I'm wrong it's not of much consequence as you want to replace those in pairs anyway. Good news, is your gas mileage will go up with better functioning O2 sensors.

i know what that beep is when the transfer case shifter is in neutral. i played with the shifter and beat it up a little. when i slip it in neutral there is not an additional beep which means ya thats the same tone. but wtf. argh @(*@^# also if the shifter was in neutral i wouldnt be able to drive it right? sooo. *scratches head*

also, i JUST replaced both O2 sensors but there is a gap at the manifold which is before the sensor which might mean the sensor is reading the oxygen thats getting in and telling it run run richer??. *sigh*

Yes, a crack on an exhaust manifold or header will suck in O2 from the outside and the O2 sensor will tell the fuel system to run more fuel and makes it run rich. Not good at all. I'd get that fixed, I had the same problem on my very first car, a 92' Mitsubishi Mirage Hatchback, there was a crack in the manifold, and even with the new O2 sensor in there, the car ran rich, and after heat welding the crack, the problem was fixed.

And when the range shifter is in Neutral, the truck should not move anywhere. You may have to adjust the linkage or something. Good luck man, hopefully doesn't beep all the way to MRM.

Pat. Thats a 95, not a 94. Why do you list it as such?

So the beeping you hear is the same beep you hear when you leave the headlights on (with the key out, door open)?

LOL I dunno, I guess I was too lazy, although it says right in the door sill it was produced in March of 1994, but then again it does have that soft dash, so it would make it a 95'.
