Default CV Joint- EDIT: New questions...

was putting my spindles back into my axle housing today...

Driver side CV has a lot of play, that feels like a hub with a bad bearing would.. thats why it was leaking out the seal i suppose.

EDIT:

Found out I'm an idiot, and I took it apart again and realized the CV mount on the top, that holds the brake line mount, was loose because I have taken the brake mount off and just left that a couple threads in.. so the CV is fine.

This brought me to another question.

I was planning on replacing the rear axle that was rusted out on mine, with one from either my 87 or 88 rover.. I just noticed my front axle is suffix B, so the 87/88 are suffix A.

QUESTION: Can I put an entire suffix A axle and all it's parts on a truck that had suffix B, and has front suffix B? I'm assuming there is a suffix a and b for the rear since there was for the front.

Thanks for any help.

I've got a set of '89 RRC hubs and CV's if you need them, super cheap.

Turns out my CV seems fine, besides needing a new seal now..

Original post edited with new questions, thanks!
