Default Dome Lights Stay On-94 LWB

Dome lights stay on while engine running and engine off...cant turn them off without pulling the fuse or battery cable. Happened a couple years ago for about a day then worked itself out without my intervention. The current problem occurred when I was dropping the front passenger off at their house..they open door, dome lights go on, I say goodbye they close door and dome lights stay on. Plunger issue on the passenger front door? Any other thoughts? I saw a thread about dome lights not coming on at all and that they should be removed and sand contacts..same solution but in reverse?

so I messed around with each plunger (4 doors, 1 hood, 1 tailgate) and cleaned and sanded..the copper strip on one of the plungers on the right rear passenger door look liked it had come off the track so I straightened it out with my finger tip and aligned in the grove of the plunger. Tested and the lights work as designed. Perhaps I'll get a new plunger for the right rear affected part anyway $12.95 each so I just get the one for now. Hopefully that was it

sometimes mine does that when it gets cold out, aluminum bodies expand and contract alot sometimes messing with the plungers, when its 90 degrees out i can't open my front door easily, and when its cold the lights all stay on so i pull the fuse...

it did get colder here over the weekend so maybe that contributed to the malfunction. I find pulling the fuse is not the best option since I lose the radio and pulling the dome light bulb is alright but you have the other door courtesy lights that stay on as well...I guess at the end of the day I'd remove all the bulbs, and keep a flashlight with me to avoid running down a gremlin for a dome light. Hopefully, she has expanded/contradicted and the plungers are happy now

maybe one could wire a switch for the lights, they are all on the same circuit just bypass the switch for the radio, then when you notice the lights aren't turning off you can just flip a switch untill it warms up a bit then you can go back to normal....
