Nessi's drinking coolant!
She's got 146,000 (as of yesterday to be exact) miles on her and in the last month or so has started to drink coolant. I had a mechanic here in Portland take a look at her about two weeks ago to check the head gasket (which I know will need to be replaced soon) and he said that it looked ok for now, the main hose (can't remember what it's called) is still soft which I guess is a good sign. She hasn't been overheating at all. He mentioned the vacuum advance unit wasn't working, is that related? I guess I'm looking for a little advise. Right now is a terrible time for a major repair, but I don't want to blow her up. What can I do in the mean time? Thanks, Joey |
