Default Drivetrain troubles

I have a 93 LWB.
I broke a front U-joint...actually, the yoke/flange holding the Ujoint...but that can be dealt with.
The thing is...there is no power getting to the REAR either. The rear diff and driveshaft are intact.
What about the center differential? Could that be it? Is there a way to lock it?

On a 93 Range Rover it uses a vicious coupling unit to lock up. It's not user controlled.

It could be the transfer case has died on you.

Oh and if you need a new yolk/flange contact paul grant here on LRO he probably has a few laying around. Great prices and a good guy to buy from.

I contacted him via email...I have also found a few shafts complete with ujoints, just a matter of who can ship it soonest...
So...transfer case would cause power to get only to the front? What else?

When you have the RRC up on jack stands at all four corners and put it in drive is the rear driveshaft turning?

If it is and the rear tires are not than you diff is blown or the axles are snapped.

If it's not turning your transfer case is suspect.

Oh and make sure your parking brake isn't set lol

The transfer case should automatically provide drive to the rear if the front shaft is broken. I believe that Army is indicating that you either have a transfer case problem, something broken in the rear diff, or you left the handbrake on.

I will add one extra and suggest that you double check that the High/low range lever is not in neutral.

Okay. Thanks to super speedy and cheap service from Paul Grant, a new front driveshaft with ujoints is installed, and the car is driveable.

However...it seems there is no power getting to the rear wheels.
I don't think the transfer case is in neutral, as power is getting to the front wheels.
I don't know if it's the handbrake...
When the car was hoisted onto the flatbed, I could see the rear driveshaft moving, so it's not the driveshaft or the rear axle and diff, I think.
Which leaves, what?
Transfer case only? Isin't there also a limited-slip deal on the front of the rear driveshaft? Could that be it?
Labor-wise, what's involved in replacing the transfer case, if that's it?
I don't want to go too far or too fast on just the front being driven, as I think that front driveshaft looks a little delicate to be moving the whole weight of the truck by itself!
