if it only runs your AC you will be fine without it!! My ac doesn't work anyway so I wouldn't even notice if mine broke!

I can only assume you guys are runnin' V-belts, while I run the serpentine type, so yeah if you have just one V-belt, turning the A/C compressor, yohu can safely remove it, and no harm is done.

For me, my A/C works, well I should say, and even if it didn't, my serpentine turns all accessories.

while one cost less, and other sort of $$$ to get, one last a little longer, one can rotate in the mud, snow, rain, river water, etc. LMAO

my 93 LWB ac belt broke a month ago. i was lucky, i heard some loud noise for a min of 2, but didn't think anything about it. then my dad (has a '91 RR)and i were looking at some wiring and noticed the belt broke. the belt was almost in the fan and other belts! i'm glad it didn't do any other damage. i had all the belts changed for under $80. they were all original (57,000 mile on her) and cracked. u can run w/out the ac belt. i would check for cracks in the other belts to be safe.

Ok. I'll check them all.
I guess the belt broke off becasue there is a bolt lose on the AC pump so the pump shakes(well shook) It finally shook enough to break the belt.
the previous owner left the bolt lose, or maybe he broke it off in there. now ill have to take it apart to see what going on.. I paid $15.99 for the AC belt. 1 yr warranty..
