Just curious.... is the 14CUX a direct swap for the 14CU in an 88RRC?? Or is there some wiring changes to be done?
Thanks!

I am pretty sure it is a direct swap, my brother has an 89 RRC and somehow the 14cu got some codes burnt into it that we couldn't erase, so he swapped it to a 14cux and it has run fine since.

The 1988 ECU is not a 14CU. The 14CU was for 1989 and 13CU was used in 1987 & 1988. They are very different ECU's as the one for an '88 is a "flapper" style EFI while from '89 on the EFI was "hot wire."
