Default Engine Binding after Head Gaskets

I tried to start my classic after doing the head gaskets. I could only get 3 or 4 revs and the battery would give out. Tried a known good battery same result. Tried to spin it with a wrench and it wouldn't move w/o extreme effort. I pulled the plugs, no change; loosened the rocker shaft on the passenger side, slightly better; pulled the passenger side rocker shaft and it now spins relatively easily. My guess is that one of the push rods was not seated correctly. What do you guys think? If so, I think I know which one it was. Should I replace it? Any other problems this may cause?

ArmyRover- "it's actually more of self inflicted torture chamber with doors and tires"- with this, I can relate!
