Default Exhaust manifold bolts

I found some grade 8 locking washers at the local hardware store. Would it be ok to use those instead of the flat washers when remounting the exhaust manifold? they are about a thread thicker than the flat washers.
Thanks!
Rob

Grade 8 is a bit overkill but they should be fine. I used the same but in a Grade 5. Don't forget the liberal use of antiseize compound...

I'm a big fan of stainless steel bolts, flat washers and lock washers for this particular application.
