They are bolted in like all other panels. Connected to the fire wall and front panel frame.

All the North American ones are welded in. I wish mine were bolt in!

I can't say for sure but I would imagine that Rover began welding the inner wings to the bulkhead in '85. Up until that point even the chassis was bolted together. From what I've heard, the welding was all in an effort to get a degree of consistancy with the fit of the body panels as the truck was prepared for the US market. I know my '85's inner wings are welded to the bulkhead.

Let me guess,...you were going 100 mph?

Stay off this forum- you make no sense Ian.

Yeah, Campbell, how do you like that, Ian has certainly wrecked enough Rovers to know better than all of up combined. But, hey, let's let him advise Msport to drive blissfully at 100 mph. We're not it the Phillipines, or Australia for that matter!

Campbell, you are actually accusing me of bringing down the tone of this forum.

Yes, this is a rare occassion when I can actually agree with what Ian is saying.
His arrogance does bring down the tone of this otherwise civilized board.

Oh, and I'm still waiting for that apology from you. You misspoke twice, contradicting me once in this thread. Or, when reconstructing your accident to validate the capabilities of a carburetted 3.5L to travel at the speed of sound, did you actually find bolts holding the inner fender to the bulkhead.

Clown!

Paul, you know that I apologised in 2006 for stating something that was incorrect and I have repeated the apology in the other thread today. But if you want to here it again, the inner fenders are not bolted on and I was wrong when I originally stated it.
Does that make you feel better now. You actually posted something that was correct.

You see Ian, you're illustrating why people have a problem with you. Even in your apology you come off as a complete jackass. You completely lack any semblence of humility. How do you live with yourself?

The only people that have a problem with me are those who I disagree with. I have more PMs thanking me for the help than the number of people that I disagreed with on this forum. Out of my 1,148 posts you have identified one where I was wrong. I am sure that if you search further you may find another. Still not a bad track record.

I only post answers on the forum if no one else has responded or disagree with what someone else has posted. I do not post to simply agree with what someone else has posted (unless that view was under attack).

I am not like yourself who usually responds in an attempt to sell someone something.
