Default Front Seat Removal

Just wanting to know if I can remove the front seats of an '89 Range Rover without power. In other words a local salvage yard has some nice seats, but yard rules stipulate no power attachements, i.e. no batteries allowed in the yard. Do you need to move the seats forward/backward to get at certain bolts? If so then the seats are lost to the crusher.

Thanks

The seats are lost to the crusher. Maybe not, if you're handy with a drill. I guess you could move the seat motors that way.

you could try cutting the floor around the bolts.

Do they allow cordless tools? if they do, you could maybe even use one of those batteries.

They won't even let you take a small jump box? You could use that to jumper the seat motor... I use one often to lower and raise a power window motor in a Miata racing car.

Sneak one into the place in a tool box or backpack.

Thanks for all the ideas--this local salvage yard is like a military check-point--everything is checked going in, and going out...but I think I have some kind of a plan now.
