Default Fuel Tank recall- Size (gal) ?

I had the recall done on my Classic.
I just bought it not too long ago and seem to remeber filling up to nearly 20 gallons.
Now I only fill up to 15 gallons.
Anyone else have this problem?

I think they migh have given me a smaller tank?!

i know that my '93 LWB has a 21 gallon tank. i have read of people putting in 40 gallon tanks for long trips (down under Aust). i don't think they would put in a 15 gallon tank. u can ask the place what size they put in or look on your paper work they gave u. another thing u could do is fill the tank up, set the tac at 0 mile and run it down to the red, they refill and divide the mile u went w/ how many gallons u had to refill the tank.

it could be a problem with your fuel level sender, and it just really isn't empty when it is reading empty.

Just call the dealer and verify what was supposed to be installed and give the parts dept. the part # of your work order and have them tell you the size of the installed tank.
Too Simple!!

Well I will say one time, I managed to get about 45 miles or more, out of the tank, after the E light on the gauge came on, and still enough gas to make it to the gas station. So I had around 3-4 gallons left in the tank, if my math does me right. And I know my gauge works properly, cause I calculate the mileage and the amount, and it shows acurate readings with what I calculated.

On my disco the reserve is exactly 4 gallons. When my light comes on and I go to the dreaded gas station I pump in almost exactly 21 g. everytime depending on how far I went on the light.

I'm on a college budget, I see the yellow light quite often, unfortunatly, too often. I rationalize this by telling myself it's only cleaning out the tank.
