Default Good fuel system cleaner, or ripoff??

Is the monro fuel system treatment worth it?

Fuel System Cleaner
Valvoline Performance System™ 3-Step Fuel and Air Intake Cleaning System Clean and Protect Your Entire Fuel System and Air Intake System.

What We Do:
• Clean the entire fuel system (including the fuel injector, intake valve and combustion chamber)
• Clean the entire air intake system

What It Does For Your Car:
• Reduces emissions caused by deposits
• Unclog fuel injectors
• Increase your engine's power and performance
• Improves acceleration
• Effectively cleans throttle plates on today's fuel injected engines
• Helps eliminate hesitation, rough idle and knocking
• Removes gum, varnish, sludge and carbon deposits instantly
• Cleans fuel system components that most fuel injector cleaners fail to reach
• Reduces emissions caused by deposits This service will help enhance the life of your engine.

This is the product they use:
Performance System 3-Part

They clean out the whole plenum chamber and the throttle body with actuall rags ( big cotton ball looking things idk )

Is this worth $110 or should i just use seafoam or somthing else?
Advice or opinions are welcome!
Thanks!

Are you really all that interested in reducing emissions?

What makes you think yours are clogged?

How exactly does it do that?

So does a bit of carburetor/brake cleaner. I challenge the average guy/gal to tell you where the throttle plates are.

Knocking is a product of low octane. IF this product only HELPS I'd be a bit disappointed. I want hesitation, rough idle and knocking ELIMINATED.

So does a few other solutions we've discussed with you, including just using good oil with a proper maintenance schedule.

Will,
Don't get me wrong, I've never used this stuff, but it sounds like a pig in a poke if you ask me. How many miles do you have on your Rover? I had my heads resurfaced for 5$ less than this product costs.
You are getting too concerned with gum, varnish and sludge. Just change your oil. You are not going to spend 100$ on your Rover and improve anything enough that you will notice it at the pump or in your pedal when you press it down.

That's just my opinion. I got 140,000 miles out of my 4.2 before the head gaskets had to be replaced. And that engine was still solid except for the leaking head gaskets.

Just buy a couple of bottles of injector cleaner and call it good.
