Default Got a Roof Rack finally.

I scored a roof rack off of craigslist for a great buy. It had some surface rust etc and needed cleaned but the price was to good to pass up so....

Here are some crappy cell phone pics of it cleaned and mounted. The lights on it aren't permanent I just had them laying about doing nothing so up they went.

Heading out wheeling tomorrow no camping though so it's just a nice looking air brake on the roof...

They are it came with the factory feet as well but some of the hardware was missing so I just put this together until I can get that squared away.

Then off they go lol.

I can't answer for him but I'm looking for a rack as well and I can answer that for myself. I can't figure out how to pack my gear, three kids and wife with the dog all in my Disco and head out for the weekend. I suppose I could get a smaller dog but the Great Pyrennees is just what I want for protection. He has done well to run off some predatory animals already. A rack is almost a requirement for any extended stay out in the woods, rather outback for you p76.

3 kids, a wife and a dog is a good reason.
Isn't the woods where the Teddy Bears have their picnic?

Ultrrunr hit the nail on the head. I like to go wheeling Wife likes to go camping when you pack for a 3-4 day camping trip with a wife 2 dogs and your 2.5 year old you seem to run out of space really really fast.

It also allows for some of the gear not to be packed around my daughter in the back seat. So it can be safely stowed up top.

Just for FunRover I took it out this weekend and flogged it with tree branches and mud

Looks good man. Hoping that I can get this LWB I'm looking at. Need to add a classic to the group. Nice rack. Now get some real lights!
